Resolved: Backup Operations Fully Restored

Our backup systems are now running normally, and the automated process that copies backups to our offsite backup drive has been fully restored.

All scheduled backups have completed successfully, and no data was affected during this incident.

This issue was linked to a wider disruption at our hosting provider’s London data centre over the weekend. We’ll continue to monitor performance closely, but no further impact is expected.

Thank you for your patience while this was resolved.

Following our earlier update, our scheduled backups are now running successfully as normal. The only remaining issue relates to the automated process that copies backups to our offsite backup drive.

As a precaution, we’re performing this step manually while we work with our hosting provider, Rackspace, to restore full automation.

There remains no impact to live services or data integrity, and all backups are up to date. We’ll share another update once the automation process is fully reinstated.

Investigating

We’re aware of an issue affecting our scheduled backups since the weekend. Our last successful backup was completed on Friday, and we perform backups daily as part of our standard resilience process.

We’re working closely with our hosting provider, Rackspace, who have reported a wider issue in their London data centre over the weekend that may be linked.

There’s no impact to live services, and we’ll continue to monitor and update as soon as normal backup operations resume.
